Jacques Azagury was born in Casablanca Morocco. He was educated in London but left schooling mid-way through A levels to work in a clothing retailer. This was followed by a two year stint at the London College of Fashion and St Martins School of Art.

Following his final year show he was spotted by the store Browns who bought his first collection. He was hailed by the press including Harpers and Queen and Vogue as one of the most exciting designers.

Following his success Azagury joined the London Designer Collections in 1980 launching his ‘New Romantics’ collection, which was snapped up by major stores such as Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Sacks, Bergdorfs and Barneys and is now one of Britain’s foremost designers.

In 1987 Jacques opened his flagship store in Knightsbridge London, Specialising in eveningwear for an international clientele.

Very much a designer family, his brother Joseph Azagury opened his shoe shop in Knightsbridge in 1993 and in 2000 his sister Sylvia opened Eliot Zed shoe shop in Walton St.

He has dressed some of the most glamorous women in the world including Diana Princess Of Wales.

Clients include more recently are Helen Mirren for the BAFTA, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne , Davina McCall, Katherine Jenkins to name but a few.
