Educated at London College of Fashion and St. Martins School of Art, Azagury, stormed into the epicenter of London’s culture and style scene in 1980’s with the launch of his ‘New Romantics’ collection where he was discovered by Brown’s boutique in London and snapped up by major stores such at Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York. He was hailed by the press as one of London’s most exciting new designers.
In 1987, Jacques Azagury opened his flagship store in London’s trendy Knightsbridge district, specializing in women’s evening wear and attracting an international clientele.
Today Azagury dresses some of the most glamorous women in the world – from BAFTA winners and Burlesque dancers to Rock-Stars and International Royalty. He helped transform Diana, Princess of Wales into an international eye-catching fashion- icon, and continues to dress some of today’s most fashionable and stylish women. Current clients include Helen Mirren, Kelly Rowland, Kelly Brook, Kimberly Walsh, Elizabeth McGovern, Mylene Klass, Helen McCrory, Sharon & Kelly Osbourne, Davina McCall, Katherine Jenkins and Immodesty Blaize to name a few.
